Bachelor's Degrees
Located in Honduras, the Universidad de San Pedro Sula (USAP) is a leading higher education center that hosts more than 5,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. It offers 24 bachelor's degrees in areas such as engineering and health sciences, in addition to 4 university technicians, 3 master's degrees and 1 specialty. Its focus on innovation and academic quality positions it as a catalyst for change in society and a trainer of competent professionals.
USAP faced significant challenges in the development and implementation of institutional courses with virtual components:
The design and implementation of proprietary courses for virtual classes was stagnant, limiting the capacity to respond to emerging educational needs.
The university could not launch academic programs at the speed required by market demands and student expectations.
The time and costs associated with the development of new courses were excessively high, putting the financial and operational sustainability of the institution at risk.
To meet these challenges, USAP partnered with Griky to implement the Unlimited Factory of virtual courses. This initiative seeks to rapidly expand and diversify study programs, while maintaining a high standard of quality and relevance.
A subscription-based lifelong learning digital platform was also implemented , available to the entire university community . This platform has more than 11 thousand courses, providing free access to all students and teachers. This platform is not only integrated with the existing curricula in the different careers, but has also implemented learning paths as a graduation requirement. The pathways allow graduates not only to obtain their professional degree, but also an additional certification that enriches their personal and professional development.
The collaboration with Griky has generated direct and significant impacts for USAP:
The range of courses available has been expanded, enriching the university's educational portfolio and opening up new opportunities for students.
The university has improved its ability to quickly launch new and updated academic programs, allowing it to adapt with agility to educational trends and market needs.
In addition to technical knowledge, the courses include courses to develop soft skills such as leadership, effective communication, teamwork and time management, which are essential in today's work environment.
The implementation of the Griky Content Factory at USAP has generated remarkable results:
Efficiency and time savings
Content production has been reduced from an average of two months per course to just weeks.
